In Illinois, you can apply to become a public adjuster if you are over 18 years old.

To get your license, you must do four things:

  • $250 application fee to Illinois Department of Insurance
  • $20,000 surety bond
  • Fingerprint verification document from Live Scan
  • Tailored version of your proposed public adjuster contract
  • Pass the Illinois public adjuster license 100-question exam with a 70% passing rate
The Public Adjuster Academy will help assist you with all of the above
required documents.

WHO WE ARE

Public Adjuster School is a three-day course, developed for public adjusters to ensure they meet the requirements of the state licensing board and their insurance carrier. The Public Adjuster School focuses its classroom discussion on the many topics associated with adjusting to a hurricane loss and taught by industry experts from around the country. Our course gives students the tools they need to be successful in every stage of the disaster response, including mitigation, response, processing, and reimbursement.

We are the premier public adjuster school in the country, and have helped thousands of students realize their dreams along the way. You will find that our students consistently pass the licensing exam on their first try.
